In a commanding performance at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Saturday, Tamil Thalaivas emerged victorious with a convincing 46-31 win over Bengal Warriorz. The 15-point margin victory was highlighted by exceptional defensive performances, with Moein Shafaghi, Amir Hossein Bastami, and Nitesh Kumar each securing High 5s, while Vishal Chahal reached a Super 10.

Tamil Thalaivas Raider Narender Kandola Expresses Satisfaction

In the post-match press conference, Tamil Thalaivas' star raider Narender Kandola expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and execution. "We had a clear game plan that we worked on for several days leading up to this match. After our previous game, we identified some areas of concern with our combinations, and the team put in the effort to address them."

Although the Thalaivas were without Sachin Tanwar due to injury, young raider Vishal Chahal stepped up in his absence, scoring a Super 10 and playing a key role in the team’s victory. "Sachin had some issues before the match, so we brought in Vishal. We’re happy with his performance; he proved us right for putting our trust in him," Kandola said.

This victory was a major turnaround for the Tamil Thalaivas, who had been struggling with four consecutive losses. "This win has certainly given us a confidence boost. Our coaching staff and the team are focused on carrying this momentum forward as we prepare for the upcoming challenges," Kandola added.

When asked about the team’s defensive performance, which saw three players achieve High 5s, Kandola credited the team’s preparation and coordination. "We worked hard on our coordination and strategy. Everyone executed their role to perfection, and that’s what led to such a comprehensive win," he said.

Looking to the future, Kandola remained focused on maintaining the team’s form. "Every team in this league is tough, with its own strategies. We’ll continue to prepare thoroughly and adjust our approach as needed. The key is to keep this level of performance consistent," he concluded.

The Telugu Titans, eager to get back to winning ways, face a tough challenge against the Haryana Steelers, who have been one of the standout teams of PKL season 11. Should Pawan Sehrawat – who limped off in the previous match – be unavailable, Vijay Malik will likely lead their attack against a solid defensive unit spearheaded by Jaideep Dahiya.

The second match on Monday will see the Bengaluru Bulls face U Mumba. The Bulls, keen to return to winning ways, will welcome the return of their captain, Pardeep Narwal. However, their defenders will need to be cautious of U Mumba’s young raider, Ajit Chouhan, who has been in excellent form this season.
