Dabang Delhi KC moved to the top of the PKL 2019 points table after a 37-37 tie with U Mumba on Friday, October 11. The match was held at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida (19:30 IST). Mumbai’s Abhishek Singh and Delhi’s Naveen Kumar were the best performers for the night. Both teams, along with Bengal Warriors, Haryana Steelers, Bengaluru Bulls and UP Yoddha have qualified for the upcoming PKL playoffs.

PKL 2019: Dabang Delhi KC vs U Mumba match result
The first half of the game started slowly, but evenly. After back-to-back raids from Naveen Kumar, Dabang Delhi KC gained a lead. With Fazel Atrachali and Arjun Deshwal on the bench, U Mumba were struggling to match their opponents. On the tenth minute, Dabang Delhi KC inflicted an all-out on U Mumba which gave them a 13-6 lead. A perfect combination of defence and raids from Chandran Ranjit and Naveen further extended Delhi’s lead to 24-13. The first half ended with only one of U Mumba’s players left on the mat, nearing another all-out.

The second half started with Naveen Kumar executing an all-out on U Mumba, while also completing his 20th Super 10 for PKL 2019, the most by any player in a Pro Kabaddi League season. U Mumba, however, made a dramatic comeback. Abhishek Singh gained momentum in the second half, while U Mumba’s defence backed him up. Even Deshwal picked up a few points, bringing down the score difference. By the 29th minute, Dabang Delhi KC was all-out with their lead reduced to 29-22. U Mumba inflicted a second all-out with only a few minutes to go. The score was tied at 35-35, after which both teams were only able to score two points each. The match ended in a 37-37 draw.
