PKL Day 2 Auction: Rahul Chaudhari Left Unsold as Jai Bhagwan and Arjun Rathi Land Lucrative Deals

Day 2 of the Pro Kabaddi league player auction left the spectators in complete shock following the thrilling events of Day One. Franchises paid out over crores.

After the excitement of Day One of the Pro Kabaddi league auction, Day 2 sprung up some tremendous surprise to the fans. Several players received handsome pay raises as the auction brought excitement among the fans. Franchises shelled out money over crores on the second day of the player action as players like Ajith V Kumar, Jai Bhagwan and Arjun Rathi got themselves a team. Day One saw some of the costliest buys, the Amaan, Ajith and more were in the limelight on the second day.

PKL Player Auction Day 2: Raider Chaudhari surprisingly unsold! Owners shell out ₹16 Crore in total

Day two of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in Mumbai saw the franchise owners shell out ₹16 crore, bringing the total spent cost to ₹33.7 crore. Ajith V Kumar was acquired by Puneri Paltan for Rs 66 lakh. On the other hand, Jai Bhagwan was bought by Bengaluru Bulls for Rs 63 Lakh in Category C. In category D, Arjun was fetched by Bengal Warriorz for Rs 41 Lakh, while Mohd. Amaan found a place in the Puneri Paltan team for Rs 16.2 lakh and Stuwart Singh was bought for Rs 14.2 lakh by U Mumba.

However, raider Rahul Chaudhari, who helped the Jaipur Pink Panthers win the title in PKL season nine against Puneri Paltan, went unsold. The UP-based raider has been a credible player, but he failed to get any bids from the franchise owners. Chaudhari made his PKL debut with the Telugu Titans for six seasons. Apart from Chaudhari, Vishal Bhardwaj and Surender Nada also went unsold.

Sachin Tanwar and Iran's Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh emerged as day one costliest buys, and the duo emerged as the most expensive players in Category C and D on day one of the player auction. The Thalaivas snapped up Sachin for ₹2.15 Crore, while the Iranian star was acquired by Haryana Steelers for Rs 2.07 Crore. He is now the first international player to get more than Rs 2 Crore in consecutive years.

In the last two days, as many as 118 players were sold during the Player Auction. The 11th season is likely to begin in October this year. Puneri Paltan will be defending their crown after beating Haryana Steelers in PKL Season 10.
