LeBron James' staredown

However, Tuesday night's season opener against the Lakers was the Clippers' chance to prove that their dismal pre-season was not a marker of the season to come. Clippers' new acquisition Kawhi Leonard dominated proceedings in the first half. LeBron James, however, chose to come to the party in the second half. James capped off a blistering break from the Lakers with a massive dominating dunk. What transpired next was fodder for the headlines. James' slam dunk was followed by a steely stare down at Clippers guard Lou Williams following the flush.

LeBron James, often regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the game, came out in full force to try and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The highly-anticipated pairing of Anthony Davis and LeBron James was expected to light up the Staples Center in the season opener. Kawhi Leonard, though, proved too much to handle for the Lakers, as the Clippers' new signing put in a dominant display, as the Clippers secured a 112-102 win over their neighbours, the Lakers.
