Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes' F1 title victory hit by tragedy

Lewis Hamilton's Drivers Championship was hampered by tragedy after the death of team employee in a car accident from their Brackley HQ in Northamptonshire.

Mercedes' title celebrations were dampened by news of one of employees being killed in car crash on his way home from ir Brackley HQ in rthamptonshire which left team devastated. team was also left devastated earlier in season after y lost n-executive chairman Niki Lauda.

F1: Car accident

According to British media reports,  crash happened on A422 between Brackley and Farthinghoe. It was less than three miles away from Mercedes' base. incident happened shortly after midnight on Tuesday, October 15, 48 hours after Mercedes had lifted Constructors Championship. 

report also said that 29-year-old staffer, who has t been named, was in a white Mercedes 300 AMG. car which left carriway, mounted a grass verge, and ploughed into a tree. staffer was declared dead at scene and police launched an investigation into circumstances surrounding his death.

Speaking about trdy, Mercedes spokesperson said Mercedes sadly confirm that a team member lost his life in a road traffic accident when returning home on evening of Monday, October 14. team is in contact with family and supporting m at this difficult time.

Lewis Hamilton win his 6th championship

Mercedes secured Constructors Championship after Valtteri Bottas won Japanese Grand Prix, while teammate Lewis Hamilton finished third in race. Lewis Hamilton on Sunday won his sixth F1 World Championship. British driver finished in second place at US Grand Prix to win tile.  victory also moves him second on all-time list, only one behind F1 legend Michael Schumacher.
