Pacquiao presents a challenge
Manny Pacquiao has always been insistent on a rematch with Floyd Mayweather ever since their bout in 2015. Pacquiao on October 27 posted a video on his Twitter that challenged Mayweather to a rematch. It featured Pacquiao helping Chinese billionaire Jack Ma train. Pacquiao then turns to the camera and challenges Floyd Mayweather to a fight. He also tells Floyd that if he wants to take part in an 'exhibition' fight instead of a 'real' fight, he can fight Jack Ma. Ma, who is in a fighting stance, proceeds to add to the challenge by expressing his desire to fight Mayweather. The duo also declares that "The Manny Team" is ready, which is a jab at Floyd Mayweather's lifestyle brand "The Money Team."
Mayweather replies to the challenge
Mayweather spoke to celebrity news outlet TMZ about the video that Manny posted. Mayweather referred to the video by saying that he knew what Pacquiao had said and when they finally meet, Mayweather would beat Pacquiao again. This statement could also be seen as Mayweather teasing the fight which may have Mayweather coming out of retirement. Referring to Jack Ma, Mayweather added that he did not even know who Jack Ma was. Ironically, Jack Ma is currently worth 35.6 billion dollars as opposed to Mayweather's 560 billion dollars.
51-0 for Mayweather?
Floyd Mayweather is one of boxing's biggest legends. Known for his dominant ego and extravagant lifestyle, Floyd has earned the nickname 'Money'. Floyd is unbeaten in his professional career and holds a record of 50-0. Mayweather faced Manny Pacquiao in the "Fight of the Century" back in 2015 and won the fight on points. In 2017, he faced UFC's Conor McGregor and knocked him out in the tenth round to win the bout. Mayweather then announced his retirement but he has done so before too, eventually ending up coming out of it.
