Michael Thomas, Odell Beckham Jr, Patrick Mahomes and several other NFL players came together to send a strong message about racial injustice on NFL's behalf.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr and several or table NFL players came toger to voice ir solidarity against racial injustice and "systematic oppression" of African-American communities in United States. NFL players participated in a coordinated video - posted on ir social media handles - where y condemned unjust killing of George Floyd and or recent events of police brutality in country.

"We will t be silenced. We assert our right to peacefully protest," NFL players continued. "It shouldn't take this long to mit. So, on behalf of National Football League, this is what we, players, would like to hear you state. 'We, National Football League, condemn racism and systematic oppression of black people. We, National Football League, mit wrong in silencing our players from peacefully protesting. We, National Football League, believe black lives matter.'"
NFL recently drew a lot of criticism after Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio said, "NFL is free from racism". Subsequently, Saints quarterback Drew Brees was slammed on social media by athletes and fans after he claimed he would never agree to kneel during national anm. In wake of ongoing protests against killing of George Floyd, Fangio and Brees faced severe backlash and were forced to apologise after ir misguided statements.

Brees' Saints teammate Michael Thomas was one of first to criticise quarterback on social media. Thomas first said Brees does t kw much about protests in NFL. wide receiver n claimed mirity community does t care if Brees does t 'agree' with protests during national anm.

After veteran quarterback issued his official apology, Thomas was quick to accept same stating, "That's what he was taught to do as a Christian."
