Minnesota Vikings will host the family of George Floyd for their season opener against Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Vikings released their entire pre-game plan.

Minnesota Vikings will host family of George Floyd at U.S. Bank Stium for ir 2020-21 season opener against Green Bay Packers. Vikings released ir scheduled pregame plan for Sunday's NFL game, which will revolve around showing ir support for anti-racism movement that took country by storm in recent months. 

" Minnesota Vikings will continue to use team's platform to bring awareness to critical issues of racism and injustice when y kick off season this Sunday, September 13, against Green Bay Packers," press release re.

Minnesota Vikings to hour George Floyd and his family during Sunday's season opener

Vikings' mess towards anti-racism will be on full-show right from start as players will don "custom t-shirts with 'Be Change' verbi on front and names of 200 individuals, who have been killed by acts of racism or police brutality on back." At conclusion of warmup routine, a pre-recorded musical performance of James Weldon Johnson's Lift Every Voice and Sing will accompany a video mont highlighting  social justice work that NFL teams and players have done in recent months. Vikings will n recognise George Floyd's family at stium, which will be a way to hour 46-year-old African-American, who were victims to racial violence and police brutality in Minnesota. 

Floyd was killed by n Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who pressed his knee against Floyd's neck for over eight minutes while former was pinned down face first on ground. Floyd's death sparked global Black Lives Matter movement, with protests seen across most major cities in US.

Minnesota Vikings will furr highlight ir anti-racism mess during game as end zones during Sunday's season opener will be marked with messs, "It Takes All of Us" and "End Racism" - a unified mess that will be seen during most of Week 1 fixtures. Furrmore, players and coaches will have option to carry a social justice mess of ir choice via decals on helmet or patches on hats.

Vikings have taken initiative on a community level since death of Floyd rocked rrn state. Back in June, franchise anunced a donation of $5 million to support various social justice causes and also started a college scholarship in name of George Floyd that will be awarded to Black students annually. scholarship, named  George Floyd Legacy Scholarship, will carry an establishing gift of $125,000 by Vikings Social Justice Committee.

Vikings also anunced that y won't be hosting any fans during ir first two home games of season - vs Packers on Sunday and vs Tennessee Titans on September 27 - citing health and safety concerns due to COVID-19 pandemic. Sunday's game will kickoff at 1:00 PM ET (10:30 PM IST).
