Conor McGregor REVEALS 'Gut Wrenching' injury that ruined his UFC 303 return vs Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor has revealed to fans the absolutely gut wrenching injury that returned his much awaited UFC 303 return vs Michael Chandler.

Conor McGregor was all set to make his blockbuster return to the octagon at UFC 303 main event with a five round fight against Michael Chandler. However, Conor McGregor's return to the promotion was ruined as his fight with Michael Chandler was called off due to the notorious picking up an injury. 

Fans were left very disappointed as Conor McGregor's return was called off by UFC president Dana White. And now The Notorious has took to social media to share the injury that kept him out of his much awaited UFC 303 return.

Conor McGregor reveals injury that ruined UFC 303 return

Conor McGregor took to his Instagram and twitter to share that he broke his toe while training ahead of the fight against Michael Chandler.

In the images it can clearly be seen that Big Mac broke his pinky finger in the left toe. McGregor further revealed on his Instagram that the injury was absolutely gut wrenching. 

“Man we were so effing super ready for this fight it is absolutely gut wrenching to take. I want that new Bugatti how I gone justify to myself getting that now without banking these fights. We had a lapse in concentration and engaged in a training session without wearing the full protective gear and I hit the toe off the elbow and broke the toe clean. It needs a few weeks that's it. This next walk has got to be, and it will be, 100% Conor McGregor. The fans deserve it and we are getting close. A slight lapse in concentration and a nuisance of an injury was picked up. That's it”, said Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor has confirmed that he will be back to fight in Octagon once he recovers from his toe injury be it against Michael Chandler or someone else. Conor McGregor has been missing from action in UFC since July 10, 2021 when he fractured his left foot in his third fight against Dustin Poirier.
