UFC 305: Why Did Israel Adesanya Cry? What Did Du Plessis Say In PC That Made Him Cry Inconsolably?

Israel Adesanya is all set to face off against UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 305 down under in Perth, Australia. Ahead of their highly anticipated Championship bout, both Adesanya and Du Plessis took pot shots against each other in the pre-fight press conference. 

However, tensions between the two fighters escalated to a whole new level when Israel Adesanya got hurt by Dricus Du Plessis' remark on his family as he burst out in tears and warned the South African that he will face consequences on Saturday.

Israel Adesanya tears up 

Ahead of their title bout, the Middleweight Champion Du Plessis remained pretty confident of his chances to dismantle Adesanya in the main event. 

When Adesanya was asked about his plans in and after the fight, Du Plessis made a cheap remark at Adesanya's lifestyle and heritage.

“On Tuesday I’m going back to Nigeria, I think Friday I’m going to South Africa and then the next week I’m going back to New Zealand. I am a child of the Earth and when I take his belt, I’m taking it everywhere with me,” Adesanya boasted about winning the main event. 

But Du plessis was having none of it and dropped in the remark, “Are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?”

This invigorated Adesanya to a whole new level as he teared up and said, “What the f*** are you talking about? Shut the f*** up….He touched a subject there because I do this for my family. I do this for the people I love and how I will fight for you forever,” said Adesanya in tears. '

Adesanya further went on to warn Du Plessis that he will face consequences in the main event as he said, “Watch this, look, I’m a f****** human being I am a man, I can cry and whoop your ass at the same time… Sunday, I’m going to kill your dreams b****, I’m gonna f****** kill your dreams".

Dricus however, remained unfazed by Adesanya's threat and in turn was seen laughing at his challenger showing emotion in the press conference.
