UFC Releases New Footage Of Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov Fight
Following a tense build-up, where some of the vile personal attacks were traded, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov got inside the cage at October 6, 2018. The weeks of trash talk did not age well for the Notorious, as he was out rightly dominated by the Russian in the fight. The animosity between the fighters reached such an extent that Nurmagomedov couldn't stop mocking the Irishman during the fight.
"What happened? Let’s talk now. Let’s talk,” is what Nurmagomedov famously hurled at McGregor during the fight. However, that was not all. In the full video that has been released on the free platform, Islam Makhachev, who was in Khabib's corner that night, could be seen telling Khabib the state of McGregor.

“Khabib, he’s dying there on his stool. Look at him, just take a look. He couldn’t walk.” Makhachev encouraged Khabib.
The champion turned around to get a clearer look at McGregor, stepped out into the center of the Octagon, and said: “F**king b**ch.”

Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov Rivalry Lives On
With all that was said from McGregor's end ahead of the match and the way the fight ended, in total chaos, a rematch between the two looked a realistic outcome in the initial couple of years following UFC 229. However, Nurmagomedov announced his retirement in 2020, relinquishing his title and leaving the circuit with an undefeated record. While all the possibilities of a McGregor vs Nurmagomedov rematch are seemingly over, the animosity between the two lives on. McGregor has been consistent in taking shots at Khabib through social media and when it comes to Nurmagomedov, he rarely speaks out but whenever mentions McGregor's name, a sense of bad blood comes out. Thus, this rivalry is for ages and will go down as arguably the most memorable in the UFC books.
