NASCAR drivers rally around Bubba Wallace after noose was found in racer's garage

NASCAR showcased a unified front in their support for Bubba Wallace after a noose was found in his garage. Wallace delivered a powerful message after the race.

NASCAR showcased a unified front against racism and supported racer, Bubba Wallace, after a ose was founding hanging in his gar on Saturday. Before race commenced at Tallega Superspeedway in Alabama on Monday, Bubba Wallace was surrounded by all 39 drivers who rallied with Bubba Wallace as an act of solidarity with NASCAR's only full-time African-American racer.

NASCAR drivers support Bubba Wallace

Alongside 39 drivers, crew from each of teams joined in as y pushed Bubba Wallace's . 43 car to front of line. An emotional Bubba Wallace could be seen jumping out of car and weeping. NASCAR even showed ir support for Bubba Wallace, who has been face of sport in its fight against racism in country. “#IStandWithBubbaWallace” was painted on infield grass. Despite natives protesting ban of Confederate flags in days leing up to race, Monday's race saw such flags among crowd section.

Bubba Wallace record 

For much of race, Bubba Wallace was competing among top five racers and even led pack for a brief moment. However, a gamble with fuel tank did t pay off as 26-year-old was forced back during final laps of race. Wallace eventually finished at 14th place. GEICO 500 event was won by Ryan Blaney, who drives . 12 Ford Mustang.

Despite t finishing race as desired, Bubba Wallace cut an emotional figure during interview after race. "I’m proud to stand where I’m at. This sport is changing,” Bubba Wallace said. “ deal that happened, I wanted to show whoever it was, you are t going to take away my smile.” 

Although he is facing criticism from a section of fans, Wallace says he is proud to be carrying a new face in NASCAR's unified fight against racism. pre-race support from or NASCAR drivers was highlight of event for racer who said it was "one of  hardest things" he has witnessed in his life. "From all supporters from drivers from crew members and everyone here, b-ass fan base - thank you guys for coming out here. It’s truly incredible and I’m proud to be part of this sport. Meanwhile, FBI is investigating situation surrounding ose found in Wallace's gar to determine if re has been any violation of federal law. NASCAR President Steve Phelps also vowed to find out identity of perpetrator of racist attack and have him banned from sport for life.
