NBA: Rockets fan arrested for allegedly punching Pelicans' coach

NBA: A fan of Houston Rockets was recently arrested and accused for punching the New Orleans Pelicans assistant coach in Joe Boylan on Sunday, October 27.

A Houston Rockets fan was reportedly arrested for punching a New Orleans Pelicans coach. fan apparently punched assistant coach Joe Boylan in face. incident occurred after Rockets and Pelicans game on Saturday. Houston Rockets won game 126-123 at Toyota Center in Houston Texas.

NBA news: Houston Rockets' fan and his girlfriend arrested after NBA game

prosecutor charged 38-year-old Manuel Garcia with misdemeaur assault for allegedly punching Pelicans' assistant coach, Joe Boylan in his face. Garcia's girlfriend Brittney Aplin was also with him when event occurred and was arrested too. 33-year-old Aplin was arrested for allegedly preventing police from getting a hold of Garcia.

Houston Rockets have w banned fan for life. New Orleans Pelicans also issued a statement to a sports news channel later on. y said that y were aware of incident that occurred, but will t be making any comment regarding matter.  motive of assault is still unkwn. Harris County District Attorney's Office prosecutor Nathan Beedle also made a statement and said that he would t speculate about motive. However, he promised to get to bottom of incident and hold both sides accountable for what happened.

court did t list attorneys for Garcia or his girlfriend, Aplin. This incident follows ar incident involving a Houston Astros fan being arrested. fan allegedly slapped a New York Yankees fan during American League Championship League that took place in Houston this month.
