NBA: San Antonio Spurs vs LA Clippers result and player ratings

Los Angeles Clippers beat San Antonio Spurs 103-97 on Friday, November 1 at the Clippers homes Staples Center. Kawhi Leonard scored a game-high 38 points, 12 rebounds and one assist. Montrezl Harrell added 24 points, four rebounds and one assist. Lou Williams also scored 12 points. 

DeMar DeRozan was the top scorer for Spurs with 29 points. He made seven rebounds and two assists. Derrick White scored 20 points in 22 minutes of play. This was the Spurs' first loss.

NBA 2019-20: LA Clippers vs San Antonio Spurs match report

The game was close till Q2, but Clippers were leading by a narrow margin at all time. Leonard dominated the second half, scoring 25 points on 10 of 16 shooting from the field which included a few three-pointers as well. Clippers went on a 9-1 run in Q3 to gain a 64-55 advantage. Leonard scored five out of ten Q3 points during the rally, which included a dunk after a DeRozan steal at midcourt. Spurs tried to overtake the point difference in Q3, but Clippers scored 11 points at the end of Q3. With 2:34 minutes left to go, Spurs were trailing by four points but were unable to overtake Clippers. Though Clippers shot only 42.9% from the field, they had a good defence.
