New England Patriots caught in Spygate 2.0, admit to violating NFL policy in Bengals' game

The New England Patriots have admitted to violating NFL policy. The Patriots were caught shooting video footage of the Bengals, who they play in Week 15.

New England Patriots are talk of town. Or country rar. last couple of weeks have seen Patriots hog headlines in NFL, and t just for absence of ir winning ways. After consecutive losses against Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs, Patriots have done mselves favours after ir latest faux pas.

NFL: Patriots admit to NFL violation during Bengals vs Browns game

On Monday, New England Patriots admitted to violating NFL policy by shooting video foot of Cincinnati Bengals during Bengals vs Browns game.  incident was brought to attention of NFL after a news reporter asked Bengals head coach Zac Taylor about incident on Monday. In a statement released by Patriots after incident, Super Bowl LIII winners chalked down recording of  foot to a behind--scenes video series called “Do Your Job" that y have been filming through season. However, according to NFL policy, Patriots were required to inform Bengals and league of recorded foot; a policy y admitted to violating.

It is unclear what action, if any, will be taken against Patriots. NFL refused to comment on controversy, whereas Patriots head coach Bill Belichick denied any involvement in recording of foot. Patriots are scheduled to play Bengals in Week 15 next weekend. However, Patriots have vehemently denied accusations that y sent crew to  FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland to spy on Bengals ahead of ir Week 15 meeting.

Interestingly, this is t first time that Patriots have been dragged into a spying controversy. In 2007, Patriots have levied a heavy fine for videotaping New York Jets' defensive coaches' signals. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was fined a record $500,000, largest fine imposed on a coach in NFL history for his part in incident. Patriots, as a team, were also hit with a $250,000 fine.
