Arizona Cardinals' Josh Shaw placed a bet on Tampa Bay Buccaneers against his own team and lost before getting suspended by the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Arizona Cardinals player Josh Shaw has been suspended by National Football League (NFL) last week through 2020 season for making multiple bets on NFL games. Josh Shaw is a fifth-year player out of USC and had been signed to Arizona Cardinals since March but has t played with team m after he went on injured reserve with a shoulder injury back on August 25. According to reports in ESPN, defensive back had placed a bet against his own team as part of team parlay at Caesars sportsbook in Las Vegas early in vember. He had reportedly wred on second-half outcomes of three games, one of which was on Tampa Bay-Arizona match against Cardinals. Tampa Bay Buccaneers were ahead on cards leading with a 17-13 during halftime before winning match 30-27, failing to cover spread as one-point favourites during second half, causing Josh Shaw to lose parlay.

According to reports, Caesars had contacted Nevada State Gaming Control Board earlier in vember and alerted NFL about Josh Shaw placing bet. commissioner of NFL Roger Goodell anunced suspension in Friday’s release and stated that one cant place bets on NFL football if you work in NFL in any capacity.
