Ohtani singles twice, scores but Angels lose to A's 3-1

Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani went 2 for 4 with a run against Oakland Athletics on Saturday night (18 September).

In seventh inning, re was a disputed call on second out of what was ruled a double play. Reliever Deolis Guerra dived to ground after he caught ball and tagged first, and n ball came out of his glove. call was challenged and overturned for what was deemed t having control of ball, even though he alrey appeared to have recorded out. When Bob Melvin came out to argue call, he got ejected, his fourth of season.

Guerra and teammates, who were alrey celebrating play in dugout, h to come back out. Rojas singled in a run for Angels’ first of game, but Guerra got Max Stassi to strike out looking for final out of inning.
