India at Paralympics Day 6: More Chances for Indian Athletes to Bag Up Medals After Historic Day 5

India had a historic outing on day five when the superstar para athletes broke records and secured medals. After Yogesh Kathuniya opened India's medal spree at Stade de France, Nitesh Kumar went toe-to-toe to secure the gold against Great Britain's Daniel Bethell after an intense three-game match. The day ended with Sumit Antil breaking his own Paralympic record with a 70.59m throw and successfully defending his gold medal. The Indian contingent is far from done as more final events are set to take place on Day six of the Paris Paralympics. After India's historic medal spree on Day 5, the sixth day will also be a day filled with final events. Gold medalist Avani Lekhara and Bronze Medalist Mona Agarwal will be in action once again, as they will feature in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Position SH1 Final. India's flag bearer, Bhagyashri Jadhav, will also be in action in the women's shot put final.

Athletics will be in prime focus, as several Indian para-athletes will be a part of the final events. Deepthi Jeevanji will be a part of the Women's 400m Final, while Mariyappan Thangavelu, Sharad Kumar and Shailesh Kumar will feature in the Men’s High Jump Final. India will have a busy day today.
