Paris Paralympics Day 8 Highlights: Harvinder Singh and Pooja Advance to the Quarterfinals

India's Simran finishes fourth in Women's 100m T12.

India's archery duo of Pooja and Harvinder have failed to win the bronze medal match against Ziva Lavrinc and Dejan Fabcic of Slovenia.

The Bronze medal match for the Mixed Team Recurve Open will now head to a shoot out.

Kapil Parmar wins the Bronze medal for India in judo. This is India's first ever medal in Judo at the Paralympics.

India's Kapil Parmar is in action against Khoram Banitaba in the semi-final of men's 60kg judo.
 

Pooja and Harvinder Singh advanced to the quarterfinals of the Para Archery Mixed Team Recurve event at Paris Paralympics2024, winning 5-4 against Australia's Amanda Jennings and Taymon Kenton-Smith. 

Mona and Sidhartha fail to qualify for the finals in the Mixed 50m Rifle Prone event.

At the 2nd Deaf Shooting World Cup, India earned 1 Gold & 1 Silver medals. Mahit Sandhu secured Gold in Women's 50m Rifle Prone, while Abhinav Deshwal won Silver in Men's 25 m Pistol. 

In Para Archery, Harvinder Singh clinched the gold in Men’s recurve open by defeating Lukasz Ciszek, securing victories over various opponents. Elsewhere, Sachin Sarjerao Khilari claimed silver in Men’s shot put F46, while Pranav Soorma earned silver in Men’s club throw F51. Various Indian athletes gave their best efforts across different events.
