Who is Sheetal Devi?

After heroics in Para World Championship, where she became first armless woman to win a Para World Archery Championships medal, 17-year-old wonder girl from India combined with her teammate, Sarita, and clinched Silver medal in women's doubles compound event at Asian Para Games on Wednesday.

As para-athletes face daunting task of facing all odds, Sheetal fought her battle when she was just an infant. Sheetal was diagsed with phocomelia syndrome when she was born, a condition under which limbs remain undeveloped.

Sheetal has come a long way and has beaten her disability. She took sport just two years ago and me a thumping mark in a short span of time. She is going strong and will have her sights set on a podium finish at 2024 Paris Paralympics.
