One of India's most prestigious domestic tournaments, the Duleep Trophy, is all set to kickstart its new season on September 5, 2024. A total of six four-day matches will be played by four teams across 15 days to decide the winner of the competition. There are talks that Indian stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli may also feature in the tournament if they make themselves available.

Duleep Trophy 2024: Format

The 2024 edition of the Duleep Trophy will be played in the Round-Robin format, thus eliminating the need to play knockout matches. The BCCI has changed the Inter-Zonal format to a new four-team format, where each team will play the other once in each round and the winner will be decided based on points. The teams will be picked by national selectors-led by Ajit Agarkar.
