Former Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra has been honored with the prestigious Olympic Order, a recognition bestowed upon individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the Olympic movement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra for being honored with the esteemed Olympic Order by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

In a post on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter), PM Modi expressed, "Every Indian takes pride in Abhinav Bindra receiving the Olympic Order. Congratulations to him. Whether as an athlete or as a mentor to emerging athletes, he has made significant contributions to sports and the Olympic Movement."
