India’s Day 12 at Paris Olympics: Vinesh Phogat, Mirabai Chanu to Chase for Gold, Sable to Also Feature in Steeplechase Final

Day 12 will be a busy one for India, with four medals spanning throughout the day. The events will last until midnight and there is a chance that Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat will make history. She will be competing against Sarah Ann Hildebrant of the USA. India will aim for a gold medal in the women's 50kg competition when Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, the bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, competes in her 49kg category finals. Avinash Sable, who qualified for the 3000m steeplechase final by finishing fifth in his heats, will wrap up the day.

Another medal event which will take place today is the marathon racewalk mixed team event at 11:00 AM IST, which will begin India's campaign today.
