‘Important to Be Sharp’: Shuttler Lakshya Sen Reiterates His Goal to Improve as Paris Olympics Looms
India's ace shuttler Lakshya Sen looks to work out on his fitness as he is all set to represent India at a global stage like the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Paris-bound Indian athletes who are a part of this year's games have been giving their all to deliver when the multi-sport contest commences. One of the biggest hopes for a medal will be in the game of badminton, as top draws like PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, and Lakshya Sen will be seen in action at the Paris Olympics. To assure themselves of a medal-winning performance, the Indian shuttler contingent has begun their training in France. The situation is rather tense as some of the globe's top shuttlers will be in action, and Sen wants to ensure that he gives his best, he has been working it out in the nets while being in Marseille before the event begins next week.

India's Lakshya Sen gears up for Paris as he looks to address his weaknesses
This year's badminton competition will not be an easy feat for the shuttlers, as some of the world's best stars will be seen in action as they represent their country. But India's Lakshya Sen has been trying to notch up his in-game skills. The Indian shuttler is looking to improve his game in the nets, be it in the defensive of attacking zone.
"From defence to attack and overall, we have tried to get better at everything, and at the same time, worked a lot on the areas (in) which I was not really good at (and) maybe give extra time on the net game, the defence and also closing stages.

"It is important to be sharp and be aggressive. [In the] last few days, we are still trying to get good match practice here, play short games and also have a good match practice session so that I am sharp towards the end of the game," Sen said.

Lakshya Sen is paired with World No. 3 shuttler Jonatan Christie in Group L. The Indian shuttler will have a tough challenge, but to gain an advantage in the match, he is making sure to fix his errors and concentrate on his strong points. Sen stated that he feels ready to give it his all in this, his greatest competition, and he has complete faith in his training.
"This is the biggest tournament of my life. So I'm thinking about the first match and also winning the group because it's quite a tough group. Overall, I feel really prepared to go out there and perform my best, and the training has been good," Shuttler Lakshya said.
