'My fight has just begun': Vinesh Phogat Sets New Goal After Gold Medal Felicitation by Haryana Khap
Vinesh Phogat thanked the people & the Khap panchayat for the felicitation and stated that her fight was far from over. Instead, her battle has only just begun.

Vinesh Phogat has been receiving acclaim and recognition since she arrived in India from Paris, France. Vinesh's Olympic campaign ended abruptly after she was disqualified from the Women's 50kg Freestyle Final. But her return has been celebrated as a gold medalist. The Olympian expressed her appreciation to all the fans and her family for the pomp and celebration when she returned to the country.

Vinesh Phogat Expresses Her Gratitude to the People, but Reveals Her Fight is Not Done
After returning to her hometown in Haryana, Vinesh Phogat was felicitated by the Haryana Sarvkhap Panchayat, who presented her with a gold medal. At the event, Phogat expressed gratitude towards the people and the Khap panchayat for the felicitation and revealed that her fight was not over. Instead, her battle has just begun. She also opened up about the love and support she received after her return to India and is grateful for the acclaim she received.
"My fight has not ended, it has rather just begun. The fight for our daughters' honour has just started. We said the same thing during our sit-in.
"When I could not play in Paris, I thought I was very unfortunate but after returning to India and experiencing all the love and support here, I feel that I am very fortunate. I will forever be indebted for this honour which is above any medal," Vinesh Phogat said.
Vinesh's fight refers to the one when she was part of the Wrestlers Protest against the then Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment last year

Vinesh Phogat faced a heartbreaking exit after being disqualified on the day of her Women's 50-kg Freestyle Wrestling final event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After the CAS dismissed her case for a joint silver medal, she returned to India. Upon Vinesh's arrival, she was received with a lot of applause and reception at the IGI Airport in Delhi.
