Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Aman Sehrawat to congratulate him on winning the Bronze medal in the men's freestyle wrestling event at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 21-year-old secured the medal in the 57kg category in freestyle wrestling. His medal augmented India's medal count in Paris to 6 medals. If India finish with the same medal count then Paris Olympics would be adjudged as India's second most successful Olympics campaign.
PM Modi Congratulates Aman Sehrawat On Winning The Bronze Medal At Paris Olympics
During the call, Aman Sehrawat thanked the PM for the support he rendered and also mentioned the contribution of the authorities. Sehrawat, who became India's youngest-ever Olympic medalist, expressed that he aimed for the gold and would vie to stand at the top of the podium in LA 2028. Noting the athlete's determination, PM Modi told Aman not to worry about the medals, stating that he has already given so much to the nation, and the entire country is proud of him. PM Modi ended the call by telling Aman that he has become an inspiration for many.
