Manu Bhaker became the first medalist for India at Paris Olympics as she finished third in Women's 10 M Air Pistol to win Bronze for her nation. Manu Bhaker missed out on a Silver medal by just 0.1 but her Bronze medal is also an historic feat for the nation.

Manu Bhaker has become the first Indian Woman to win an Olympic medal for the nation and only the second Indian ever after Vijay Kumar to stand on the Olympic Podium in Pistol Shooting event. Vijay Kumar won a silver in Men's 25 M Air Pistol back in London 2012 and coincidentally, Manu Bhaker's triumph is India's first shooting medal at Olympics since London 2012.
