In times when a fellow wrestler Vinesh Phogat was robbed of her match after disqualification, Sehrawat brought some positivity to the camp with his bronze medal win. Aman took a strong start before being defeated in the semifinal, leading to him entering the bronze medal match. After the match, Sehrawat reflected on his big in during his maiden Olympic Games appearance, expressing that it feels surreal to win a medal and stand on the Olympic Podium.

India's Bronze medalist in wrestling, Aman Sehrawat, spoke to ANI after his match in Paris, France. He reflected on his bronze medal finish in his Olympic debut at the French Capital. Sehrawat expressed that while he aimed for the gold, he feels content with the bronze medal finish at the wrestling event. His attention will now shift towards the 2028 Olympics and the Asian Games in the year 2026. Aman also revealed on his thoughts while standing at the podium, revealing it was a speechless one.
"I am very happy and I still can't believe that I have won a medal for the country at the Olympics... I was hoping for the gold, but I am happy with bronze as well...

"It was a speechless moment when I stood on the podium... from today, my next target will be to prepare for the 2028 Olympics and 2026 Asian Games," Aman Sehrawat said.

Aman Sehrawat defeated the Puerto Rican grappler Darian Cruz during his maiden Olympic Appearance at the Olympics in Paris. He beat Cruz by 13-5 to clinch the Indian Contingent's maiden wrestling medal in the Paris Games. The Puerto Rican bagged the opening lead, but Sehrawat bounced back by targeting his opponent's shoulders. Aman's win was assured in the final few seconds when he grabbed a lead and won the match with technical superiority.
