On India's 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Indian contingent competing in the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, France. Big names like PR Sreejesh, Harmanpreet Singh, Manu Bhaker, Sarabjt Singh, and others were at the PM's official residence to meet him. The veteran hockey India goalkeeper met with the Indian Prime Minister at his residence and shared a heartwarming moment as his family met PM Modi in Delhi.

Hockey India Goalkeeper PR Sreejesh Shares a Humble Moment as His Family Meet PM Modi in Delhi
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi was seen interacting with the Indian Olympic Contingent who competed in the 2024 Summer Games in Paris at his official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. The Indian Prime Minister addressed them all, congratulating them and stating that welcoming them to his residence was a source of pride for him. Veteran PR Sreejesh interacted with PM Modi during their meet and the goalkeeper shared a particular moment where the goalkeeper and his family got themselves a photograph with the PM.
"The best day of my family. Thank you Narendra Modi sir," Sreejesh posted on 'X', Formerly Twitter.

PM Modi spoke to PR Sreejesh when he hosted the Olympic stars at his residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, as he asked about the veteran goalkeeper's decision to retire after India's campaign at the Paris Olympics.

PR Sreejesh ended his International Hockey career at the Paris Olympics. His heroics allowed India to secure the bronze medal for the country. The veteran goalkeeper was bestowed with the privilege of being the co-flag-bearer at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony. He and double Olympic medalist shooter Manu Bhaker represented India at Stade de France.
While most Indian Olympians were present at PM's house, silver medalist Neeraj Chopra was not present as he had directly flown to Germany from Paris. The Indian javelin ace is expected to get medical advice to address his longstanding groin issue, for which he might take up surgery.
