‘100 % Intentional. Korean Hurt Her Intentionally. No Way She Would Have Lost’: Nisha Dahiya’s Coach

Nisha Dahiya put up a brave fight despite being hurt but still showed tenacity and grit and continued the fight. In the Women's 68kg quarterfinal match against North Korea's Sol Gum Pak. Dahiya had a thorough lead and the Korean looked to be in trouble. That is when she performed a rigorous grapple, injuring the Indian wrestler in the process. Virender Dahiya has alleged foul play by the Korean wrestler as he alleges that she deliberately hurt Nisha to put an end to her campaign in the Summer Olympics

India National Boxing Coach Alleges the Korean Wrestler ‘Intentionally’ Injured Nisha Dahiya To Derail Her From Competition

In the wake of the scenario after the Korean wrestler handed a loss to India's Nisha Dahiya, Virender Dahiya, the coach of the Indian national team, claimed that Nisha's injury was purposefully caused by the Korean with the objective of ruining Nisha's entire campaign in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"It was 100 per cent intentional, they hurt her intentionally. We had seen, there was an instruction from the Korean corner. They attacked the joint. They have taken away the medal from her.

"The way Nisha had started, the medal was in her neck and it has been taken away. The attacks were clear, the counter-attack worked and the defence was compact. She had beaten the same wrestler at the Asian Qualifier, there was no way Nisha was losing this," India's national coach Virender Dahiya said while speaking to PTI.

Sol Gum Pak of Korea inflicted a horrific hand injury on India's Nisha Dahiya, and the wrestler from India had to be transferred to a hospital inside the Olympic Games Village in Paris following her loss so that they could get a scan. There hasn't been any new information on Dahiya at the moment, and any update will be subject to reporting.
