Touchdown at Paris Olympics: First Batch of Indian Athletes Reach Olympic Village

With Paris Olympics just a week away, the first batch of Indian Athletes have reached the Olympic Village and were greeted by Chef-De-Mission Gagan Narang.

The much anticipated Paris Olympics 2024 is about to go underway with the opening ceremony taking place on July 26th. With just a week remaining in the start of the Summer Games in Paris, India's first batch of athletes have touched down in Paris and reached the Olympic village. 

Team India's official social media handle shared on Instagram and X that Indian Contingents Archery and Rowing teams have reached the Olympic Village and were greeted by India's  Chef-De-Mission Gagan Narang at the Village. The Indian Contingent of 117 athletes will soon all be arriving in Paris as they Aim to make India proud.

First Batch of Indian athletes at Paris Olympics 

Team India's official handle of Indian Olympic association took to social media to share that Indian athletes had reached the Olympic Village on Friday. 

The Archery team consisting of six members including Bhajan Kaur, Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat, Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav were greeted on their arrival by Chef-De-Mission Gagan Narang and deputy Chef-De-Mission  Shiva Keshavan.

Ahead of the Paris Olympics, the mood in the camp according to Gagan Narang is really high. The Indian Men's Hockey Team will also be soon arriving on Saturday at the Village.

Indian contingent for Paris Olympics

India has taken a total of 117 athletes in the contingent for Paris Olympics 2024. The nation is looking at these athletes with hope to better its tally of seven medals the highest ever by India at Olympics.
