Vinesh Phogat CAS Verdict: India's Olympic Disqualification Case Deferred Till August 13
Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the final of the women's 50kg wrestling event after being found 100 grams overweight.

Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has postponed its verdict on Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat's plea against her disqualification at 2024 Paris Olympics. hearing of Court of Arbitration for Sports in Vinesh's case h concluded on Friday evening, and decision was slated to be anunced tonight. However, CAS has withheld its verdict in Vinesh Phogat case and will w prounce it after Olympics.
According to news ncy PTI, verdict in Vinesh Phogat Olympic disqualification case has been deferred till August 13. All parties have been given time till August 11 to submit any dition document related to case in court.

" -hoc division of CAS has extended time for Sole Arbitrator Hon. Dr Annabelle Bennett in Vinesh Phogat vs. United World Wrestling & International Olympic Committee matter to give a decision till 6-00 p.m. on August 13, 2024," IOA statement re.
" reference to August 11 in earlier communication sent by me was to time given to all parties to present any ditional documents before Sole Arbitator," it ded.

According to an IOA source, decision is likely to be me public only on August 13, two days after conclusion of Games in Paris.
Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from final of women's 50kg wrestling event after being found 100 grams overweight. Vinesh h qualified for final after defeating Cuba's Yusneylis Guzman Lopez in semis on Tuesday. She was slated to face USA's Sarah Ann Hildebrandt but was disqualified before official weigh-in on morning of final.
