Patna Pirates vs Dabang Delhi: Pro Kabaddi League match preview

Patna Pirates will meet Dabang Delhi K.C. at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday, September 26. This will be the 108th match of Pro Kabaddi League Season 7. Dabang Delhi K.C. is currently at the top of the points table and have already qualified for the playoffs, while Patna Pirates are ninth in the table. Delhi are coming off a tie with Bengaluru Bulls

Patna Pirates and Dabang Delhi: Differing campaigns

Delhi have had an amazing campaign so far and it shows. Out of the 17 matches, they have only lost two. They have been consistently sitting at the top of the points table and their qualification will ease the pressure off them. Their best contributors have been raider Naveen Kumar, who has gotten them 211 raid points and defender Ravinder Pahal who has scored 48 tackle points.

Patna Pirates have not had the season one would expect three-time champions to have. The team stumbled and got up, only to stumble again. In the 18 games they have played, they have lost 11. They were placed at the bottom of the table only two weeks ago but their captain, Pardeep Narwal, has helped the team script a comeback and the team are currently ranked ninth. Their top performers are captain Pardeep Narwal, who has scored 224 raid points, defender Neeraj Kumar with 50 tackle points and all-rounder Hadi Oshtorak with 42 points.

Patna Pirates' race to survive

The two teams met earlier this season where Delhi edged out Patna by three points. With the league stage coming to a close soon, and Tamil Thalaivas already out of contention, time is running out for the Pirates to save their campaign. Pardeep Narwal and the Patna boys will be hard at work as they try to salvage every opportunity they can. The coverage for the match will begin at 7:00 PM on September 26.
