Patrick Mahomes narrowly misses COVID-19 infection from barber ahead of Super Bowl 2021

Kansas City Chiefs nearly hampered ir chances of winning a second Super Bowl title this week. On Monday (Tuesday IST), it was reported that two Chiefs players were on NFL's reserve (or COVID-19) list. Understandably, fans were worried about situation, which could affect upcoming Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes COVID-19 scare right before Super Bowl 2021

Chiefs placed wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and backup centre Daniel Kilgore on list, though neir tested positive. As per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, players received haircuts on Sunday before y were put on list. report adds that masks were worn at all times, but tests that returned were t positive.

Did Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes barber have COVID-19?

According to NFL report, Kilgore was in middle of getting a haircut whe barber's COVID-19 rapid test came back positive. Chiefs isolated barber immediately, who was supposed to give haircuts to multiple or players, including Mahomes and 20 ors – players and staff. 

Thankfully, Chiefs were able to dodge crisis. 

players will also be placed in isolation for five days, mandated by NFL. Both of m will be unable to practise, which also includes or team activities leading up to Super Bowl. Still, if y continue to test negative, y will be allowed to play against Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. 

Reports also reveal that barber had five negative tests before last-minute rapid test came back positive. If at all haircuts had gone through, team would have been without Mahomes and ors. However, if players came back negative, time period for ir return would be more.
