Pawan Sehrawat sets Pro Kabbadi record with 39 raid points in a match

Pawan Sehrawat scored a record-breaking 39 raid points against Haryana Steelers on Wednesday, October 2 at Tau Devilal Sports Complex, Panchkula (20:30 IST). He overtook Pardeep Narwal's Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 5 record of 34 raid points. Sehrawat led Bengaluru Bulls to an impressive 59-36 victory. Bengaluru Bulls became the fifth team to qualify for the PKL playoffs with 63 points.

Pawan Sehrawat's PKL journey
Sehrawat made his PKL debut in season 3, completing the season with 53 raid points to his name. Though he had two quiet seasons after that, Sehrawat burst to life in PKL season 6. He emerged as the top raid scorer with 271 raid points, while also grabbing the MVP award. The raider had also scored 13 Super 10s. His skilful execution of the running hand touch gave him the name of 'High-Flyer'.

Pawan Sehrawat in PKL Season 7
Sehrawat is undoubtedly one of the best performers for PKL 2019. Consistently performing throughout the season, the Hi-Flyer is now at a total of 295 points. He also has 222 successful raids and 14 Super 10s. With Rohit Kumar's absence, it was Sehrawat who had to ensure that his team registered the win. With his 39 raid points in their match against Haryana Steelers, he regained the spot as the season's top raider. Bengaluru Bulls still has two matches to go before the PKL playoffs.
