PKL 2019: Siddharth Desai steers Telugu Titans to win over UP Yoddha

Telugu Titans beat UP Yoddha 41-36 in their last game for PKL 2019 on Wednesday, October 9 (20:30 IST). The venue was Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. Siddharth ‘Baahubali’ Desai’s Super 10 in the second half steered his team to victory. Sumit also scored a High 5. UP Yoddha was defeated in their home for the first time in PKL 2019.

PKL 2019: Telugu Titans vs UP Yoddha match report

Telugu Titans sent Monu Goyat to the bench early in the first half, which gave them the necessary momentum. However, Rishank Devadiga and Shrikant Jadhav countered Desai’s raiding with their own and prevented an early all-out. As the match progressed, UP Yoddha gained a lead. They inflicted an early all-out on Telugu Titans, which extended their advantage to 20-14 by halftime.

UP Yoddha sent Siddharth Desai back to the bench early on in the second half, helping them gain an 11-point lead. However, Arun tackled Devadiga, bringing back the ‘Baahubali’, who also completed his Super 10. After UP Yoddha was all-out, the score difference was reduced to six points. Although Desai’s four-point super raid further helped his team, Sumit Super Tackled him in his next raid attempt. UP Yoddha was all-out with around two minutes left to go, giving the lead to Telugu Titans. Krushna Madane and Arun defended their team well, unwilling to give UP Yoddha a point. Telugu Titans won the game with a five-point lead.
