Premier League 2019-20: Manchester United and Arsenal share spoils

On matchday 7 of the Premier League, Manchester United and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Here we take a look at the top moments from the match.

Manchester United and Arsenal kicked-off ar encounter between m at Old Trafford in front of 73,000 fans. game, which picked up pace in second half, saw both teams sharing a point as y ended in a draw 1-1. United's Scott McTominay scored a scorcher just at end of first half but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's swift work in second half helped Arsenal equalise. Let us take a look at what unfolded.

Plenty of chances

United had some legitimate chances in as early as 28th minute where Andreas Pereira took a shot but Bernd Le's gloves were too good for it to pass. Ar chance came in 42nd minute where Pogba made an aggressive tackle that referee let slide and ended up giving ball to Marcus Rashford who got cramped for as he took his shot inside Arsenal area. Arsenal did t keep quiet as just a minute later, 18-year-old Bukayo Saka took a shot which was saved by David De Gea. United finally broke through in 45th minute when Daniel James passed ball to an onrushing Rashford who couldn't time his run for a shot. Rashford, however, kept ball in and squared it to McTominay who struck beautifully from just outside penalty area to give United lead before half time.

In 57th minute, Aubameyang made some swift moves to get ball through defence and past De Gea's gloves. referee immediately called it offside. But with VAR's assistance, decision was overturned and Arsenal were credited with a goal. Soon after, both teams tried to break on counter-attacks as Saka, Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire, Rashford squandered ir chances. Both teams settled for a 1-1 draw eventually.

After draw at Old Trafford, Arsenal are fourth in Premier League table with 12 points, while United linger at 10th with just 9 points. United will w play AZ Alkmaar in Europa League on October 3. Arsenal will play Standard on same day.
