Reds Akiyama wants to speed up MLB improvement after first practice game
Cincinnati Reds rookie Japanese outfielder Shogo Akiyama said on Wednesday he wants to show good results as soon as possible after he went 0-for-2 with two struck outs in the intrasquad game

Cincinnati Reds rookie Japanese outfielder Shogo Akiyama said on Wednesday he wants to show good results as soon as possible after he went 0-for-2 with two struck outs in intrasquad game.
Speaking at Reds summer camp, Akiyama, who in offseason became first ever Japanese player to sign with Reds, also said "I felt that my batting is still a bit off, so I think I need to adjust it as soon as possible."

revised campaign will feature 60 games and regular season is scheduled to begin on 23rd July.
