The English team earned a place in the Rugby World Cup semifinals for the first time in 12 years as they beat Australia 40-16 on October 19. England outscored the Australian team by 4 tries to one in order to match up to their win against the same team in 2017. They have now beaten Australia a total of 7 times while being managed by Eddie Jones.
A 14-3 lead in the first half
Winger, Jonny May, scored a total of 2 tries in 3 minutes right in the first half to help his team gain a 14-3 lead over their Australian counterparts. Although, they suffered a scare as their lead was cut down to a mere 1 point when Australian winger, Marika Koroibete, attempted a solo run from the half-line.

A double for Jonny May
May's first try came in the 18th minute that was received by him at the end of a passing tactic from the right side to the left against a loose Australian defense. The skipper just had to collect a pass from flanker, Tom Curry and run down in the corner.
His second try was a result of flanker, Henry Slade's improvisation on the field, who had received a pass from openside flanker, David Pocock, on the quarter line and moved forward and as he realized that he was going to get tackled by Koroibete, he kicked the ball to his left so that Jonny had the chance to run down and find the left corner again.
