In latest development, a SpiceJet flight ferrying a contingent of Indian boxing team, including Mary Kom, reported a fuel emergency while landing at Dubai airport on Saturday. As per sources, fuel emergency landing report was made after confusion prevailed over scheduled landing of flight. pilots of aircraft reported a short of fuel to ATC, following which it was allowed to land, after a 30-minute delay. After that, crew and passengers cleared immigration process and entire incident was brought to tice of DGCA. A probe has been ordered, as per reports.

Issuing a statement on incident, a SpiceJet spokesperson said that flight had commenced its journey from Delhi to Dubai and was carrying a contingent of Indian boxing team. spokesperson informed that flight had landed safely and that all passengers had cleared immigration. SpiceJet spokesperson also categorically stated that flight was t filed as a cargo flight and that such information was wrong. Furr, spokesperson stated that flight was a regular passenger aircraft under Air Bubble agreement and that same flight was ferrying back passengers to India in its return leg.
Mary Kom says Tokyo Olympics 2021 will be her last
Ahead of upcoming 2022 Summer Games, India's ace boxer Mary Kom has said that Tokyo Olympics will be her last appearance at marquee event. Mary Kom, who won bronze in 2012 Olympics, pointed out limit barrier which restricts her from qualifying for Olympics. Re-visiting her achievement in 2012 Summer Games, Kom had expressed that her career would be 'diminished' if she hadn't participated in prestigious Olympics.

"Tokyo will be my last Olympics. matters here. I am 38 w, going on 39. Four (three) more years is a long time," Mary Kom told Olympic Channel.
Initially, 40 was set at limit for participation in Tokyo Olympics which was slated to be held in 2020, however, due to COVID-19 pandemic limit had been extended to 41. Having turned 38 this March, Mary Kom will be over current limit by time next Olympics in Paris 2024 rolls around.
