Super Bowl LIV 2020 sees former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick feed the homeless

Colin Kaepernick's glaring absence from Super Bowl LIV did not go amiss. The former Niners QB was pictured serving meals to the homeless on Super Bowl Sunday.

“A 50-year Super Bowl drought!”, “Patrick Mahomes is ripping opposition defences to shreds!”, “ 49ers have best defence in NFL!”, se were just some of stories doing rounds ahe of Super Bowl LIV. Granted, Kansas City Chiefs were looking to end ir 50-year Super Bowl drought at Hard Rock Stium in Miami this past weekend, but 49ers also were enduring a Super Bowl drought. ir last Super Bowl win came in 1994, 26 years ago. y did come agonisingly close to ending ir drought seven years ago with Colin Kaepernick as ir starting quarterback. However, at turn of dece, with Kyle Shanahan’s men at Super Bowl LIV, former 49ers quarterback wasn’t watching dramatic 31-20 defeat to Chiefs.

Super Bowl LIV: Colin Kaepernick volunteers for less fortunate during Chiefs vs 49ers

Super Bowl LIV Sunday saw former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick he to Jamaica, Queens to serve meals to needy. blacklisted 49ers quarterback’s first stop was Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, which is located in Harlem. A fitting trip, courtesy of Black History Month. Colin Kaepernick toured library for black culture which is devoted to research, preservation and exhibition of artefacts significant to African America, African Diaspora, and African experiences. Following visit to Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Colin Kaepernick was pictured in Jamaica, Queens, where he served meals at SCO Family Shelter.

While Colin Kaepernick’s replacement, Jimmy Garoppolo was victim of a sack towards dying stages of Super Bowl LIV,  Kaepernick will continue his exile from NFL. former 49ers quarterback’s off-field activism started way back in 2016, which led to his ouster from NFL. Among his many critics was  President of United States, Donald Trump. NFL did organise a workout for Colin Kaepernick midway through 2019 regular season, however, little came to be of that workout as teams continued to blacklist former Niners quarterback.

Colin Kaepernick opts out of contract

Back in 2016, former Niners QB began kneeling during National Anm in protest against police brutality and racial inequality. His political activism drew ire of NFL and also President Donald Trump. 'Kaepernick opts out of contract' story n broke after 2016 season. Since n, NFL teams have looked beyond Kaepernick in a bid to avoid controversy.
