Larry Wheels gets knocked out after taking on Slap Challenge Against Champion Layne Viernes
Known for his adaptable ambitions in the fitness field, Larry Wheels just added slapfighting to his long list of interests, which also includes arm wrestling, bodybuilding, and powerlifting. Wheels lost a power slap challenge against super heavyweight champion Layne Layne Viernes and was eventually knocked out.
Wheels, well aware of the task he was taking on, recounted his encounter with Viernes on social media.
“I THINK IT’S 100% I’M GOING TO GET KNOCKED OUT. THIS GUY IS LIKE 400 POUNDS AND HE’S THE CHAMPION OF THE SUPER HEAVYWEIGHTS. I TOLD HIM DON’T HOLD BACK.”
Dana White of the UFC founded Power Slap, which has become incredibly popular and given athletes, many of whom have moved from the UFC to this new sport, a new platform.
Hawaii native Layne Viernes has an impressive 14-1-0 record that includes 12 knockouts. Viernes, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 420 LBS, got into slap fighting after seeing videos on social media and wanted to be the best in the sport. His goal is to become the first slap fighter to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Viernes gave Wheels pointers and advise on giving and taking slaps. Wheels was knocked down by the champion's hit during a warm-up, but Viernes was impressed with how Wheels took it.

With slap fighting now part of his repertoire, Larry Wheels may consider further training in this intense and growing sport.
