The Bucs  earned their franchise-record eighth consecutive road victory to reach the Super Bowl for the first time since their 2002 championship season.

The Buccaneers (14-5) will face the Kansas City Chiefs (16-2) at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 7. It will be the first time that an NFL team is playing in a Super Bowl (NFL Championship) game that it's actually hosting in its home stadium.

The thought of having their home team in the Super Bowl was very exciting for many fans, especially for one who spoke to Tampa TV station WFTS.

"Oh man. I don't know what ticket prices are but I'm going to start selling blood today. Because I need to be in there and it's going to be a wonderful time," he said.
