Bengal Warriors beat Telugu Titans with a narrow victory of 40-39 on September 25 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur (19:30) IST. Though Bengal Warriors have already qualified for the playoffs, the team did not lose their momentum. After the win, Bengal Warriors are ranked first, while Telugu Titans are placed eleventh. Telugu Titans were visibly disheartened after coming so close to winning the game.

This match marks the fifth consecutive loss for Telugu Titans. Desperate for a win, Abozar Mohajemighani’s team gave Bengal a run for their money. On the other hand, Bengal Warriors extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches. Maninder Singh once again proved his prowess with a total of 17 raid points. Telugu Titans managed to get a lead, but could not maintain it for long as Bengal Warriors proceeded to raid efficiently. There was a tense competition as both teams continued their onslaught of successful raids till skipper Maninder got sent to the bench after stepping on the court without being touched and took three players from Telugu Titans with him. It gave Bengal Warriors a lead of two points. After that, Maninder skillfully inflicted an all-out which strengthened their lead.
The second half started with Siddharth Baahubali Desai attacking with a series of successful raids. Telugu Titans managed to all-out Bengal Warriors, after which Siddharth Desai’s super raid tied the score (22-22). However, Maninder single-handedly brought his team back into the game with a string of successful raids. Telugu Titans faced another all-out, which proved to be fatal. Despite Siddharth’s best efforts, Telugu Titans were unable to take the lead. With an impressive defence, Bengal Warriors emerged victorious.
