Andy Murray, who was away from tennis majors due to hip surgery, is all set to make his Grand Slam return at Australian Open in the month of January next year.

Andy Murray is all set to make his Grand Slam return at Australian Open in month of January next year. organizers of tennis tournament anunced on October 8 that Murray is healing better and is expected to get fitter by beginning of tournament. He is presently ranked at 289 which is higher than his ranking last week which was 503. In year 2018, tennis star h to withdraw from Brisbane International and Australian Open because of a hip injury. He h to undergo surgery to recover from injury.

Australian Open organizers confirmed his return

Murray with time passing seems confident of getting back to a Grand Slam court. He won opening match of Shanghai Masters on October 7 where he defeated Argentina's Juan Ignacio Londero in 3 sets. He also me a quarter-final appearance in Beijing a week ago. organizers of Australian Open said that Murray is er to make a comeback into Grand Slam which is scheduled in month of January 2020. official Twitter handle of Australian Open tweeted confirming comeback of 32-year-old.  official website of tournament wrote that former world number one “would return to main draw with a protected ranking of number two and restored physical powers”. Murray reached finals of Australian Open five times before but never won tournament.

Murray was away due to a hip surgery

British tennis player held a press conference before tournament this year, where he anunced in tears that he would retire after Wimbledon since he was suffering from unbearable pain in his hip. In an Instagram post, he wrote that one option which he has for recovery is rehab. He inste went for a hip resurfacing surgery to return to professional tennis. Murray w said that he is t suffering from any pain in his hip. After losing Beijing match against Dominic im, he said week was best for him in terms of how he played ever since his return. He said that it was good for him as he played 3 matches in 4 days which is a lot and he w feels better because of it. Australian Open of 2020 will be held between 20 January and 2 February. present champion of Australian Open is Roger Federer who defeated Marin Cilic this year.
