He n defeated Matteo Berrettini, 7-6 (2), 6-3, before a master-class against vak Djokovic 6-4, 6-3, in a duel which meant that only winner would vance into semi-finals. Federer h t defeated Djokovic since 2015 Finals, making it a monumental victory for former. Tsitsipas lost out to Nal, 7-6, 4-6, 5-7  in his previous match on Friday, but defeated Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev to reach semi-finals.
