Australian Open 2020: Coco Gauff defeated Venus Williams in the opening round yet again showing that her earlier win over Grand Slam champion was no fluke.

Coco Gauff was born in Atlanta, USA and is youngest ever finalist to have me girls' singles event at US Open and is youngest ever player in history of Wimbledon Championships. Gauff started playing at of 7, after being inspired by her hero Serena Williams. match, which can be termed as 'youngest vs oldest' battle, saw Gauff taking control of first set and establishing 3 set points at 5-3 and 5-4 before being forced into a tie-break. She won tie-breaker after Williams hit an overhe shot into net. In second set, Gauff raced to a 3-0 le and went on to serve out match after Williams rushed to retrieve a shot at net but could only get to it with a double bounce. She won match 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. Speaking about her win, Gauff said that Venus Williams played really well and she was nervous ahe of Monday's match. She furr ded that she was a bit shocked when she saw draw but was gl to get through it.
