Carlos Alcaraz Breaks Down Inconsolably After Losing Gold Medal Match vs Novak Djokovic In Olympics

Carlos Alcaraz lost the chance to win Gold Medal for his nation when he lost in the final against Novak Djokovic at Paris Olympics.

Carlos Alcaraz was the favourite to win Gold medal for Spain in Paris Olympics 2024 however his dream was uprooted by Novak Djokovic in the finals as he beat the Spaniard to Gold with a straight set victory. 

Carlos Alcaraz having already won the French Open and Wimbledon this year and at just 22-years of age is a four time Grand Slam winner was hungry to make his mark for Spain in Olympics. But as Alcaraz missed out on winning the Gold despite playing giving it his all broke down into tears post match.

Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic played one of the most thrilling finals in Olympics history. Despite Novak Djokovic winning on straight sets the match was too close to call and you weren't sure of the result till the last point.  

Alcaraz played a stupendous game with none of the two superstars ever being able to break the other's serve in the entire game. However, Djokovic just managed to edge out Alcaraz in the tiebreaks of both the matches to take the second set.

The loss definitely did sting Carlos Alcaraz and post the match the Spaniard couldn't control his emotions as he broke down into tears while giving his post match interview.

Carlos Alcaraz wanted to win Gold for his nation at Paris Olympics but in his first Summer Games a silver is also not a mean feat. 

Alcaraz will now take some time off before he gears himself for the final Grand Slam of the season at US Open. He would be aiming for his 5th Grand Slam crown and his 3rd in the Calendar year.
