Coco Gauff, 15, becomes youngest tennis titlist since Nicole Vaidisova

Coco Gauff won the first WTA title defeating Jelena Ostapenko, becoming the youngest titlist since Nicole Vaidisova. The teenager did it after 15 years.

15-year-old Coco Gauff won her first WTA title defeating Jelena Ostapenko, becoming youngest titlist since Nicole Vaidisova in 2004. Gauff lost opening match of tournament but me to draw when a player was forced to withdraw due to an injury. She went on to get her first top-10 win after proceeding to her first quarter-final match and eventually bagged title. Coco Gauff defeated 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 in Austria, on Sunday.

Ostapenko, who currently seems to be out of form, h momentum cruising into final. Gauff just dropped one set 1-6 in ir three-set battle to win match. last set proved to be worthy for Gauff, who looked composed and clean with her shots, winning third set by 6-2. Talking to press after match, Gauff said that this is a memorable moment for her and she would cherish it for rest of her life.
