Coco Gauff's Luxembourg journey ends with loss to Anna Blinkova
Coco Gauff conquered her first career title in Linz, Austria beating Jelena Ostapenko in three sets and becoming the youngest to capture the title aged 15 years

After winning her maiden WTA title in Austria, high-flying Coco Gauff was brought crashing down to the earth by Anna Blinkova in Luxembourg on Wednesday. Blinkova defeated the American youngster 6-4, 6-0 in the first-round encounter. The Russian made only five unforced errors and hitting 18 winners en route to her victory. Gauff managed to win just eight points in the second set as Blinkova clinched the victory with a forehand winner.

Coco Gauff maiden WTA title in Austria
Gauff first burst onto the scene with a run to the Wimbledon last-16 earlier this year beating Venus Williams on the way. On Sunday, the American teenager conquered her first career title in Linz, Austria beating Jelena Ostapenko in three sets 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. becoming the youngest tennis player to capture the title aged 15 years and seven months. She also became the youngest player to win a WTA event since Czech Nicole Vaidisova who won titles in Vancouver and Tashkent two months apart in 2004 as a 15-year-old.

Anna Blinkova dominates Coco Gauff in Luxembourg
Blinkova, who is just 19, proved to be too hot to handle for the young American. The world number 66 lost the first game but took command of the match shortly. The Russian first broke Gauff's resistance in the first set before crushing her in the second set. Blinkova dropped just eight points and set up a second-round match against Germany's Tatjana Maria.

Speaking about the triumph, Blinkova said that she was very happy with her performance without making a lot of mistakes. She even said that Gauff is a great player and she was well prepared for the American following her maiden WTA tournament win
